If you follow the improvement of Adobe Dreamweaver, you’ll found that its finally support popular web framework such as Bootstrap.
This isn’t new things, back to Creative Suite 5.5, Adobe put JQuery Mobile in Dreamweaver, allow web designer (and yes, web developer) to create Mobile Web Application faster.
So I start thinking about a Dreamweaver Extension, provides Ionic Framework tools to create mobile application like PhoneGap build have did.
Initiating Ionic Framework Extension
The ideas starts from the Insert Panel, which provide many useful code snippet for HTML 5 element, and also JQuery Mobile’s User Interface.
This feature let the beginner (such as K-12 student) learn to structure Web UI for mobile web application, and also Mobile application via PhoneGap Build. If you interests to host a workshop for your student in school, feel free to contact me.
And with this idea, I think it’s possible to create an Adobe Extension for Ionic Framework. The extension might be integrated into Adobe Dreamweaver as a panel or a set of commands.
The goal I set for first release of the extension:
- Code snippet of Ionic Framework UI (Panel)
- Create Ionic Framework project, direct from Adobe Dreamweaver (Panel, or Menu Command)
- Add Mobile Platform to the project, such as iOS or Android (Panel, or Menu Command)
- Run application in simulator or real device (Panel, or Menu Command)
The project is developing in alpha version. I’ll update the progress via @teerasej and my Facebook Page soon.
Create an Extension for Adobe Creative Cloud
Actually, you might feel familiar with “Plug in”. But Adobe call their “Plug-in” as “Extension”
There are tools that Adobe provided for us to create our own Extension. It’s Adobe Extension Builder, can be downloaded via Adobe Labs website. Links below:
