Ok, you just downloaded Brackets (or Adobe Edge Code CC) to you machine. But now, that “Live Preview Error” may got you stuck from the application’s amazing feature. Let see how can we get rid of this.
Error and the way to solve
First, almost error occurred on Windows OS. I was quite surprised that almost OS X machine have no this problem. So after investigated (with my partner) and search around. I got 3 origins that one of them might match your case.
1. Windows’ Firewall
Your Windows Firewall could block Brackets and Adobe Edge Code CC from process that’d enable Live Preview feature. Just put Brackets and Adobe Edge Code CC into whitelist and this problem should gone.
2. Antivirus
Prevent any threat and virus out of our machine. Your antivirus program (confirmed Mcfee and BitDefender) may put Brackets and Adobe Edge Code CC into block list. Just set those program to allow Brackets and Adobe Edge Code CC. This should work.
3. Extension (or you may call “plugin”)
Brackets and Adobe Edge Code CC can be added more functionality by install more extension (or you may call “plugin”). Sometimes, these cool extension may cause your IDE crashed or conflicted with core feature. Try to remove them one by one to identify the bad extension.
